What’s Hot In 2018

Good day lovelies!!! ❤️

Guess what?

..

.

I am joining YouTube! I’m going to be a YouTuber!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!! 🤣

I am so excited to share this news with you guys. Here’s some basic details about my channel.

I don’t really know what else I’m supposed to say in this introductory blog. I’m going to interview myself and answer a few questions I assume you’ll like answers to..

1. Was this something you always wanted to do?

– Nope, not at all. When I thought about what I’ll be doing now a few years back, opening a YouTube channel was the last thing that crossed my mind.

2. What made you want to go ahead with this?

– If you have read my article ‘Throwback To 2017’ you would know by now that I’m very passionate about reaching out to people to “change the world”. This is in fact the reason behind my blog as well. I came to realize that not many people read nowadays. Sadly or so, we are living in a very visual world. This is why I turned to YouTube. I hope it helps me reach out to more people and eventually, change the world.

3. Do you really think you can change the world?

– Maybe, maybe not. I do believe that we can change the world though. Here’s one of my favourite sayings – “…because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

4. Why ‘Just Another Believer’?

– It was actually the first name that crossed my mind when I was thinking of what the name to my channel will be. I liked it instantly, it just seem to fit. There are so many believers out there. We believe in God, we believe in love, we believe in goodness etc. I am just another believer trying to make a difference, in this crazy world.

5. What kind of videos will you be sharing?

– That’s going to be a surprise. My first video however will be a very casual ‘About Me’ video.

6. How often will you be sharing videos?

– The plan is to share two videos per month. Let’s see how it goes..

7. When will you be uploading the videos?

– I’m not sure yet. Still figuring out which day would be best for uploading my videos. It’ll be on the same day, once in two weeks.

8. Are you going to stop blogging?

– Nope, definitely not. I’m planning on incorporating my blogs and videos. It’ll be almost one unit. I’ll be sharing my videos on my blog, and I’ll be sharing my blogs on my videos.

That’s that. Thanks for being so supportive with everything I do.

With Love.

Throwback To 2017

2017 was one of the most exhausting roller-coaster rides ever!

Turned 18 – I’m an adult now. Was bridesmaid at a wedding. Sat for my a/levels, which I got through successfully. Started university. Started teaching. Started my own blog. Bought my first vehicle, a motor bike. Adopted my cute kitten, Velvet, who was found thrown in a ditch. Starting wearing the hijab, which is a milestone for me. I still am figuring out life as a hijabi. Experienced a loss of loved ones, making how fragile life is even more real.

Realized that unless I have a burning passion to do something, I’ll just do okay. Realized that I am very passionate about making this world a better place and changing lives any way I possibly can, be it through my career or simply being a very giving human. Realized that people can change in the blink of an eye. Realized that love is my greatest strength and greatest weakness. Realized that people will judge you as they please, misunderstandings are inevitable, but as long as you are true to yourself that’s all that really matters. God knows best.

Realized that no matter how much it does not feel like it sometimes, I am truly blessed. I’m truly grateful for the most loving, amazing and understanding parents anyone could ever ask for. I’m grateful for my extremely supportive family – immediate and extended. I’m grateful for all my friends, new and old. I’m grateful for all my dear readers who’ve taught me so much. I’m grateful that I’ve grown up to be the smart, independent, courageous and beautiful young lady I am. I’m grateful I realize that how happy or sad, loved or broken I feel inside, this is all a part of life, and I would not enjoy mine as much as I do any other way.

Thank you for bearing with me throughout the whole mushy touchy feely stuff. I hope you enjoy this video I’m sharing with you as a salute to 2017. I pray that 2018 turns out to be even more amazing, for all of us! Happy New Year!

With Love.

PS – I know I’ve hardly blogged lately, I promise that will change from this blog.

Community Pool

‘Daily Post’ in WordPress has been having a community pool every Monday where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.

This is done to help bloggers gain traffic and to help them grow. If you haven’t heard of it before here is the link to it. You can check it out and join their threads.

I thought of having a community pool myself so that I can give something to you guys to help your blog grow.

While you may not even need this, if you are a profound blogger, I believe it’ll help you in some way. Also, I’ll be selecting the reblog post I do on Tuesday from my community pool.

Here are the rules to this community pool so that it could be used to it’s maximum potential –

  • Drop a link on which you want to get feedback on. This could be a post, your website, anything you wish, but make sure it has a substantial message or question.
  • Be as specific as you can if you want to draw quality feedback.
  • Please make sure you only comment one link.  If you comment with more than one link, your comment would either not be approved or would take a longer time to be moderated. If you want to draw traffic to your website, make sure you comment with a link to your best article. 😉
  • No adult content. This is a strict no no. I’ll be checking each of the links when the comment is sent to me for moderation. Your link will definitely be deleted if it contains any adult content.
  • While you don’t have to, if you have the time please check out a few other links in the comment section and give your feedback to other bloggers who need help (specially if you’ve requested feedback too).
  • Please give polite and constructive feedback. The idea is to have fun and spread some love!

There’ll be a community pool every Friday at 6am (my time) in my blog. You can leave your links until the next community pool, after that the comment section of the previous week’s community pool will be closed.

If you aren’t a blogger, this post could help you too. You’ll have different types of recommended links to read through all in the same place. How convenient is that?

With Love.

Question Of The Week – Q13

You are on a plane which is about to crash. You have the privilege of one last phone call. Who will you call?

My answer to last week’s question –

Oceans. I love mountains too, but I guess the feeling of the tides on your feet is irreplaceable.

With Love.

PS – If you are new to my blog, every week I post a question for you guys to answer and I give my answer to the previous week’s question. You are more than invited to join in the fun. Cheers!

Let’s End World Hunger

Have you ever wanted to end world hunger?

Of course you have.

I’m pretty sure that at least once in our life, that thought has crossed each and every one of our minds.

There’s a teeny tiny problem though. If we have all thought about it, why hasn’t it happened yet? Well, let me tell you why. It’s because you (yes you) haven’t read this conveniently inspiring article yet. I’m going to share a secret with you. I’m going to tell you how I think you and I could make this work.

There’s one little thing you gotta do before you read further. Press on that play button (if you can’t see a play button, that’s probably because you are not reading this on a web browser) and watch that short video. It won’t take much of your time.

Wow eh? I wouldn’t have added that to this article unless it was incredibly inspiring. If you were like me, you probably ended up replaying that video making your siblings and parents watch it too. If you were even more like me, you live in an extremely hot weathered country where you can’t seem to even stop withering away yourself. So how on Earth will you be able to grow crops?

Remember reading ‘conveniently inspiring’? The inspiring part is just over with (at least 90% of it), and the convenient part? I’m going to summarize all the best crops to grow in both hot and cold climates, just for you. This makes it so easy you don’t even have to waste a second more of your time figuring out what to grow. All you need to do is, get up, get your face off the screen and do your part to end hunger.

Warm Season –

  • Breakfast crops –
  1. Corn
  2. Sweet potato
  3. Cucumber
  4. Tomato
  5. Southern peas
  • Lunch/Dinner crops –
  1. Beans
  2. Eggplant
  3. Pumpkin
  4. Okra/Ladies fingers
  5. Zucchini
  6. Tomatillo
  7. Gourds
  • Dessert crops –
  1. Melons
  2. Watermelons
  3. Cantaloupe
  4. Honeydew

Cold Season –

  • Breakfast crops –
  1. Carrot
  2. Beets
  3. Turnip
  4. Potatoes
  5. English peas
  • Lunch/Dinner crops –
  1. Broccoli
  2. Brussels sprouts
  3. Cabbage
  4. Leeks
  5. Radish
  6. Spinach
  7. Parsley
  8. Celery
  9. Cauliflower
  10. Lettuce

These crops don’t fall into a warm or cold season category.

  1. Artichoke
  2. Asparagus
  3. Chive
  4. Parsnip
  5. Garlic
  6. Onion

Why I divided them under the ‘breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert’ categories was to clearly show that these crops are certainly enough to feed a person three times a day. You can most definitely use the crops for whatever meal you want.

I will be starting my own garden very soon, in aim to feed people who have no choice but to go hungry. There will definitely be more posts regarding this. I truly can’t wait to get out there, do my part and share how I did it with you. Get started, I know you wanna join me too.

With Love.

Question Of The Week – Q12

Which do you like better, mountains or oceans?

My answer to last week’s question –

We all know it’s wrong, so why is that even a question?

I’m just assuming it’s because ‘justify’ could mean either ‘right’ or ‘reasonable’. Is revenge right? Nope, of course not. Is it reasonable? Depending on the situation, sometimes (I guess).

With Love.
